Cable Organisation

Well I am in full moving mode now! The time has come to start organising all of the crap memories which have accumulated over the first year of us living together. I started this the other night by tackling the menacing box of miscellaneous cables which had been hiding in the spare room since we moved in. Honestly this box holds way too many ‘vintage’ chargers along with their respective devices. We both have iPhones but my current boyfriend insists that we keep a Nokia 6300 circa 2006 on hand just in case the robots rise and take command of every smartphone in Paisley.

So I decided to whittle down this box and organise it effectively. Into the depths I dove and came out with not one, not two, but 6 Blackberry USB cables! Who in their right mind needs that many? I also found a rogue iPhone 30 pin cable which I thought had been claimed by the great flat move of 2009. In preparation I had purchased some Velcro cable ties from Amazon which were very reasonably priced and worked an absolute treat. Here’s how it started…

…And here’s how it ended

Oh looking at this fills me with organisational joy! I labelled each charger and wrapped it in a cable tidy. I didn’t bother labelling the USB cords as it’s pretty clear what they’re used for but they’re all swaddled in Velcro too. I have one cable which I can’t figure out its use for the life of me so I’ve kept it just in case (the hoarder inside me breathes a sigh of relief).

  1. Have you ever considered about including a little bit
more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all.
But think of if you added some great pictures or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”!

Your content is excellent but with images and videos,
this blog could certainly be one of the best in its field.
    Terrific blog!
