Shaytober Week 1 Update

Hey fitness friends! I have to say that I haven’t been as successful this week as I would have liked. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still into Shaytober but my motivation was WAY down. I went to the gym 3 times last week and each time ran 1.6km which I’m pretty pleased with. This week I will really need to step things up! Today is gym day and I will be aiming for 2km flat out on the treadmill as well as using other machines.

I’ve definitely been watching what I eat and it’s been nothing but salads and healthy meals at dinner time. However yesterday I felt very dizzy all day which I put down to a lack of sugar – so I had a mars bar… NOT GOOD AMY. To stop future slip-ups I will start carrying small packs of dried fruit to get some good sugars into my system. That’s the plan anyway…

  1. Do you know of any online fitness challenges or anything like that? I’ve been trying to work out 4 or 5 times a week but I thought it would be cool to log stuff or follow a plan to keep on track….

  2. That’s a good question! I know there are sometimes fitness challenge parties on Instagram… My favourite was the 30 day squat challenge! Personally I keep track of all my workouts with the Map My Fun and My Fitness Pal apps. The latter is especially good for monitoring targets and there is a social aspect to it too where you can add your friends and share workout and healthy eating goals! Hope that helps!
