Hi-Dee-Hi my gorgeous gaggle of golden gawkers! Happy November to one and all 😀 Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet, I’m so glad you are here! I’m ashamed to say that October was a bit of a washout bog-wise for me so I apologise for my lack of joviality and frequency of posts. I really have no excuse worthy of your time so I won’t bore you with the details. Rest assured it’s onwards and upwards from here on in – Christmas is around the corner!
To start of this month I thought I would share with you some of my buys over the past month. Yes, I wasn’t blogging, I was shopping 😀 Also, I started a Quilting and Patchwork course at my local college so no doubt your blog feed will be littered with lots of sewing activity from this end, you lucky thing! Lets start the ball rolling with necessities, shall we? I bought a tonne of fabric for my course! I will probably go into a bit more detail about this in another post but for now all you need to know is that I’m making a table runner as my first project and quilting is a VERY expensive hobby.
Another sewing-related purchase was this ADORABLE retractable Cath Kidston measuring tape. I was ill prepared when I turned up to my first sewing class having forgotten my own measuring tape so I will not be caught out this week! Also it is the same pattern as the sewing box that I received for my Birthday so really, how could I resist?
I would like to point out at this stage that all of these items were purchased over the course of a few weeks and I in no way have shoppers guilt… I did a bit of splurging on make-up and beauty products (shock) and finally bought my first Urban Decay palette! I was gung-ho for buying the full Naked 2 palette but Ian talked me out of in and into just buying the basics. He has this weird notion that we’re saving to buy a house or something. Along with this make-up must-have my new favourite foundation sneaked it’s way into my basket, along with it’s companion Mr Primer. I am in love with the No7 Beautifully Matte foundation and this primer is great for every-day wear! The suspect in the corner is the Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer which is one of my make-up cornerstones.
Can you really expect me to not buy eco-tools brushes when they’re half price it TK Maxx? I couldn’t be more pleased with this particular buy as I was pretty desperate for new brushes! I pray to the TK Maxx gods!
A couple of weeks ago I dragged Ian all of the way to Stirling to visit the outlet shopping centre there. I have some pretty fond memories of this place, unfortunately they are all but memories as the place was a bit of a disappointment. All was not lost, however as I managed to bag a couple of lovely long-sleeved tops from the Gap outlet! The were 50% off and I paid a mere £15.98 for the pair – can you say bargain?
After the disappointment at the outlet, we decided to head into Stirling proper for some lunch and a wander. Obviously this wander took us into the Thistle Shopping Centre were I stumbled into lush and couldn’t resist the Christmas Penguin bubble bar and a bubblegum lip scrub! Further treats were found in the form of a camera connection kit for my iPad and a new hair tong! Do I need a new hair tong? Well, actually yes! This is one of my 3 curling appliances (this doesn’t include wavers and crimpers -_-) and I’ve found this one to be the perfect diameter for my length of hair! It’s actually very good quality, heats up in a flash, is super easy to use and gives fool-proof curls every time! This one I picked up in my Mecca for £16.99! I love you TK!
So that’s the gist of it! View my shame in all it’s glory!!! It’s only going to get worse in the run up to Christmas so consider yourselves well warned 🙂
