My Emergency Car Kit

This weather is THE WORST! We had the first real snow last Friday and if that journey home was anything to go by, I’m going to be spending a lot more time in my car! My commute to work is 45 minutes each way and if bad weather was to hit hard then there is a possibility that I would be stuck in my car for a very long time. That’s why I have an emergency car kit stashed in my boot! Call me a survivalist if you will but don’t come chapping on my window when you have no supplies!

So what’s in my kit? Well I have an extra pair of shoes which haven’t been worn socially since 2003. That’s right, I own a pair of Timberland boots with denim turn-downs which were purchased during my Destiny’s Child Soldier phase. No regrets. They’re pretty busted up but I challenge you to find a sturdier shoe! Next I have a spare blanket and 2 bottles of water just in case! Then there’s some hand sanitiser, cause, you know, it’s essential in any situation. It’s been known for me to break down a few times and while I have played the damsel in distress role worthy of an Academy Award, this girl also carries some spare oil and jump leads for her whip… Ok may have reverted back to 2003 for a sec there but I’m back now! What’s not shown in this picture is a little box of bolts for my tyres which is also usually kept in this box. Unfortunately that emergency item seems to be in use on the regular right now 😦 My final necessary item is a 3 pack of Mars bars… It kind of goes without saying why I have these!

  1. Flashbacks of getting lost in Torry on the way to uni / taking the Pug for a drive to recharge it’s batteries…

  2. Good idea. Think I should be doing this as well. I would love it if you joined and contribute your awesome posts at my link party at City of Creative Dreams on Fridays 😀 Hope to see you there at City of Creative Dreams Link Party
