When I got home from work last night I was greeted by several parcels stuffed to the brim with glorious fabric! After a quick happy dance I gathered it all off and retreated to my lair. If you’re a fabric hoarder like me I urge you to sit back and enjoy while I share my fabric haul!
First up is my selections from Minerva Crafts. I was after some different types of fabric and their selection did not disappoint! I’m still new to this dressmaking malarkey so I stuck to the clearance section and am I happy that I did!
I’m really excited to give these new fabrics a go! I bought 2 metres a piece of the lilac and duck egg jersey and 3 metres of the navy and white stripe as it’s the fabric I’ll be using for the Brigitte dress. Next up is the offerings from Abakhan Fabrics:
SO PRETTY! I really want to make a skirt out of the cupcakes and I think the peachskin would make a great floaty maxi dress! The yellow stripe is destined to be a sundress, I can feel it. I ordered 3 metres each of the cupcakes and peachskin, and then 2 of the yellow stripe so I definitely have a lot to play around with!
I’m so pleased with my fabric finds and I decided that I would add them to a Pinterest board so it would be easy for me to find them again!

So I’m banned from buying any more fabric for the foreseeable future so I will be consoling myself tonight with a fabulous meal at Stravaigin in Glasgow. Happy weekend everybody!
