Crafty Roundup

WATCH OUT!! There’s a new series on Boldly Gold coming at you! Welcome to my Crafty Roundup!

september crafty roundup

I’ve collected some of my favourite crafty projects from across the web to share with you in one convenient post… Don’t say I’m not good to you! So, without further ado let me show you what other amazing #craftbloggers have to offer πŸ™‚

DIY paper boxes

First things first (I’m the realist?). No the first thing I’m sharing are these rad DIY paper boxes from IHeart Organizing. Confession time: I LOVE THIS BLOG! It’s like my crack, if crack was sweet-ass organising solutions and jaw-dropping before and after pictures. Jen shares a super simple tutorial on how to make these bad boys and I actually whipped up a bunch to use in my craft room. Amazing.

crochet face scrubbies

It’s absolutely no secret that I’m battling my way through learning how to crochet so obviously these face scrubbies caught my eye! Ingenious! There is a full and, from what I can tell, pretty straight-forward tutorial over on the Craftaholics Anonymous blog. Once I de-tangle myself from the crochet-hell that I’m in, I’m definitely giving these a go.

salted caramel cupcakes

You had me at ‘salted.’ How good do these cupcakes from My Frugal Adventures look! Even if you don’t have the patience or will to make the Starbucks logo, I think these would be a hit with any crowd. Or make them with all the pretence of passing to your neighbours and then sit in a dark room devouring one after the other while silent-crying. No? Just me?

diy leather cable wallet

Another one from IHeartOrganizing (told you I love that blog). How clever is this idea for keeping all of your wires together and untangled?! I don’t have to tell you about the frustration of discovering a birds nest of cables at the bottom of your handbag. A simple and clever solution with no sewing involved πŸ™‚

diy gold mouse pad

Looking at this super-swish DIY mousemat from Homey Oh My makes my heart happy! In October I will be tackling our home office in an attempt to make it bareable to be in and this project is definitely on my hit list. It’s pretty without being feminine which is exactly the kind of thing I need in our shared space!

It was tough to keep it to 5 but I think that’s enough to keep you going, although you can find even more projects on my Crafty Roundup Pinterest board that might tickle your pickle (oooh err). I hope you’ve found some inspiration and if you do decide to get crafty with any of the projects listed above let me know. I would love to see πŸ™‚

  1. Nice Mousemat! I also keep seeing the crochet face wipes about atm. Ingenious. If only I could get past the linear quality of the first chain, after that I go all to knots!
Incidentally (and pretty bizarrely) a small child had set your Google profile picture to come up when my father rings. Needless to say he’s rather flattered to be a lovely young lady and I am totally baffled when he rings! πŸ™‚

    1. Oh my god I just snorted water out my nose at your comment! I am delighted to be coming up on your phone in any capacity. I hear you about the first chain! Beyond that I’m at a complete loss and can’t help but laugh every time I see the phrase ‘magic ring.’
