So I’m officially obsessed with Project Life! I find it so therapeutic to work my way through the month adding photos and bits of information which I’ll want to remember in the years to come. Last month was pretty jam-packed so I had absolutely no trouble padding out my spread – in fact I could have maybe used another page! I’m working on a way on how to incorporate the other bits which I want to add but for now here’s what my February looked like.
Call me a big old cliche, but I dedicated the first page to Valentines day. Ian’s birthday lands the day after so our weekend of celebrations was all covered here. We went to Barolo Grill for Valentine’s dinner which was excellent as always an then for cocktails at Grand Central. For Ian’s birthday the next day I surprised him with a trip to the Loch Lomand Aquarium which I swear he loved. I also baked him a rainbow birthday cake which we shared with his family that night at his Birthday dinner.
I added quite a few more accents to this spread than my last! For example, I used my new embossing label maker to embellish this card, along with my favourite glitter and glue combo.
I used one to the folded journalling cards from the Heidi Swapp Favorite Things kit to add a little secret detail to one of the pockets. The card is stamped with a sentiment from the September Skies Clear Stamp Set, also by Heidi Swapp.
For the next page, I went with this lovely teal as the main accent colour which went well with photos in this spread from our day skiing in Aviemore at the beginning of the month. There’s also a picture of my beautiful mum not enjoying a salmon appetiser. The final picture is one of my brother playing in a recent ice hockey game that I thankfully got to see! He’s actually very good and has played all over the world (can you tell I’m a proud sister?)
Along with other embellishments in this spread, I used the embossing label maker with a clear tape to tag this skiing selfie. I just love the look of it!
So that’s my February Project Life spread done (for now) and I’m already making progress with March! This will be a bit of a quieter month apart from tomorrow’s impending family fames night, so I’m hoping to use a lot more journalling cards and pretty embellishments to get the memories down. Thanks for taking the time to snoop at my life in a little nutshell!
